Smooth, soft and delightfully fruity! This 6 bottle case is for those with a softer side. It takes you across the world and spans a range of varietals to explore how Soft, Fruity Reds can vary.
Each case contains one of each of –
Duck Point Central Otago Pinot Noir 2018 Duck Point sources grapes from around the region, to craft easy drinking and fresh expressions of Pinot – cherry, raspberry and a hint of vanilla are to be expected. With this met by spiced fruit flavours the Pinot is creamy yet fresh. There are soft tannins and an easy acidity. Harvested at night to retain the freshness, fermented with Burgundian strain yeasts and then aged for 9 months in French oak before release, drink now and enjoy!
Laurent Dublanc Cotes du Rhone 2017 A blend of Syrah and Grenache and Mourvedre, this is an easy drinking, food loving wine that is perfect for everyday drinking on its own or with food. The colour is intense ruby red, clear and brilliant. With dark red fruit, strawberries, current and on the nose, it’s rounded out in the middle with subtle vanilla and spice. So well balanced you can call it easy drinking and serious, this wine will flow right along with the conversation, wherever that turns
Le Grande Tour Cabernet Merlot 2017 ”Pronounced blackcurrant flavours highlight the strength of Cabernet’s characterful presence in this southern French blend. It’s dry with a medium body and moderate finish. An accessibly medium bodied red wine from the Pays d’Oc in southern France.” – 3.5/5 Stars, Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer
Philippe Bouchard Bourgogne Gamay 2016 “Here’s a smooth, velvety Gamay from Burgundy; a region far better known for its Pinot Noirs. This wine is drinking nicely now with its medium body and flavours of red berries, with a note of spice. An interesting red from the north of France.” – 3.5 Stars, Joelle Thomson, Wine Writer
Rio Anejo Tempranillo Merlot 2017 Merlot is one of those international grape varieties that does well in most corners of the globe, Spain included. It brings a softness to blends as well as the typical plum and black cherry notes we’ve come to expect and here it’s no different. While Tempranillo certainly dominates (think cherries, dark chocolate, spice and tannin), Merlot helps to soften it out and gives the wine a delicious, long finish. Try with hard cheese, or some Spanish fare – paella anyone?

Signore Giuseppe Bardolino DOCG 2017 A light, ruby-red coloured Bardolino that has a powerful bouquet with notes of black pepper and marasca cherry. A delicate a fresh taste on the palate with plum notes. Ideally served with Risotti, pasta courses with meat sauces and fowl. The grapes originated from Botter Spa, located in the Veneto region, 30 km north-east of Venice.
