“Blanquette de Limoux is a small appellation in the south of France known for sparkling wines made from Blanquette, also known as Mauzac. Aime Baron handpick their grapes before fermenting in the traditional method and ageing for around 9 months. Notes of green apple and citrus make it perfect for an aperitif, accompanied by your favourite cheeseboard, or with oysters for a bit of indulgence.” – 18/20, Wine Central Tasting Panel
Made using the traditional method with no addition of CO2 and then aged for a minimum of 9 months, this Brut style bubbly offers superb length of palate perfectly balanced between soft sweetness and rich gourmandise. This Blanquette can be served at aperitif on its own or accompanied by a liqueur.
The Maison SALASAR, located in the Upper Aude Valley at Campagne sur Aude, was founded in 1890 and here the grapes are entirely hand-picked and placed in crates of 350kg. They are gently pressed and fermented at controlled temperatures of 16°C.
